Jim Elliott is the project leader on consulting projects.  He negotiates agreements, manages the workflow, and shapes strategies.  Before founding the James G. Elliott Co., Inc. in 1984, he held numerous executive positions, including Director of Field Services at CBS Magazines and Western Advertising Manager for Road & Track Magazine.  Jim currently serves on the Board of Connectiv: The Business Information Association, and has served on the Board of Directors of Association Media & Publishing.  He currently serves as Charter Advisory Board Member of the Magazine Innovation Center at The University of Mississippi's Meek School of Journalism and New Media.  Jim frequently contributes articles to industry publications such as FOLIO: and Signature, and often speaks at industry events such as the FOLIO: Show.  Jim is the former chairman of the board of the Don Bosco Technical Institute and serves or has served on several for-profit and non-profit boards and committees.

Recently, Jim received the First Annual Mitch Mohanna Lifetime Achievement Award from Association Media & Publishing. This special award honors an industry service provider who has performed outstanding service to AM&P and whose accomplishments have spanned a career in association media and publishing.

Dennis Connaughton, General Manager of the Elliott Co., is responsible for the daily operations of the organization. Dennis frequently plays a major role in analyzing financial data and developing strategic recommendations.  Prior to joining the company in 2001, he was President of Zephyr Marketing Group. Previously, Dennis was with Times Mirror Magazines, Inc., where he held a number of executive positions including that of Publisher of Field & Stream Magazine. His earlier career was spent in account management at several major advertising agencies, the last being Campbell-Ewald Advertising where he was Senior Vice-President responsible for the Chevrolet Truck account.

June Lough came to the Elliott Co. ten years ago from Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, where she was Marketing Director of Creative Services and Sales Development Director. Prior to that she was a Marketing Manager for Magazine Services Inc. (a subsidiary of Kiplinger’s) that provided sales representation for multiple magazines. She has done marketing/creative work for Kiplinger’s, MyBusiness, Ivy League Network, Private Clubs, Movieline, Budget Travel, and many others.

Craig Miller is responsible for execution of consulting assignments through Ads&IDEAS® and western sales for Kantar Media SRDS. During his 20-year tenure with the Elliott Co., he has been responsible for advertising sales assignments for a wide variety of publications as well as research sales and training for Kantar’s Simmons Market Research Bureau. Previously, he managed Los Angeles sales offices for Inc. Magazine and Forbes..

Beth Kurup started her career on the agency side handling media planning and buying for Carat and Media Planning Group (currently Havas Media). She moved on to selling national consumer publications for American Media Inc., InnoVision Health Media and then the Elliott Company. Beth has recently transitioned to be the Elliott Company’s Research Manager, where she will use her media and research background to support the sales team and clients.
